About Me
Ariane Panzer, PhD | she/her | Immunologist & Microbiologist
I recieved my BA from Hampshire College where I completed a self-designed interdisciplinary concentration major integrating studies of molecular biology, epigenetics, and health and society. After working as a research technician at both the Harvard School of Public Health and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) I joined UCSF’s Biomedical Sciences graduate program and recieved my PhD in Fall 2021.
My PhD reserach focused on understanding the dynamics of gut microbial community assembly in early life and the impact of early-life gut microbial functions and metabolites on T cell programming in childhood allergic asthma.
Outside the lab, I dedicate my time to science communication and creating equity in STEM.
